Approachable Outdoors Fall Fundraiser

It’s here! I’ve wanted to do hoodies & beanies for Approachable Outdoors for a year now so it’s exciting to see them finally on sale! They’re incredibly soft – I’ve been living in my blue hoodie & the pom beanie.

Just as last year, all proceeds are going to A Precious Child helping Colorado families in need.

A few new things this year – we’re celebrating the launching in person!

Approachable Outdoors Benefit Bash
Los Chingones RINO
November 15, 2022
4-7pm

Can’t wait to see everyone at one of my favorite restaurants to celebrate the launch of the merch and raise even more money for A Precious Child. Get your tickets here, they’re $25 online or $30 at the door.

Giving Back

All of the proceeds are being donated to A Precious Child, an incredible organization that helps families through rough times which became all the more important this past year. I’ve been a “Celebrity Ambassador” for them since I moved back to Colorado and I’m blown away by the work they do. So every beanie, hoodie or ticket sold for the Benefit Bash is directly helping families here in Colorado – I’m not making any money from the merchandise.

Ready to win some really cool outdoor gear?

For every hoodie or beanie you buy you’re entered into the raffle drawings leading up to the Benefit Bash. I was blown away by the generosity of the companies I reached out to, everyone wanted to help out and was so quick to say yes! The earlier you buy your hoodie & beanie the more chances you have to win.

Here are a few of the companies who donated some of my favorite gear:

A Couple of Shout Outs

Like the design? Me too! My lovely hiking buddy Sydney is also part graphic designer and came up with the design for the hoodie and beanie and I couldn’t love it more. It’s simple and dare I say… approachable! (Ok, I’ll see myself out)

Benefit Bash Music From Jacob Tobey

Jacob is a dear friend of mine and such a talent when it comes to sports broadcasting, but he’s also an incredible musician and I couldn’t be more thrilled to have him play at our Benefit Bash on November 15th! If you’re looking for someone to play at your restaurant or event, definitely have him at the top of your list.

All in the Family

And of course Approachable Outdoors literally wouldn’t exist without my brother and Birch River Design Group. He’s the brains behind the entire site and anything tecnical that comes up (which is a lot)

Supporting Local/Family Owned

It was really important for me prioritize a couple of things when picking out the merch – I wanted quality and I wanted to support local.

MTN Ohana handled all the screen printing and Anthem Branding took the design/logo and turned it into a few beanies that I absolutely love.

Weekend in Snowmass, Colorado

Snowmass is one of my favorite spots in Colorado and every time I go I fall more in love. On the slopes I had one of my best ski days ever (long, spacious runs without the crowds but incredible powder.)  To visit in the summer was an absolute delight. It has all...

Weekend in Frisco, Colorado

Weekend in Frisco, Colorado

I almost hate to tell anyone about Frisco because it's one of my favorite towns in Colorado and I feel like it's a little overlooked by visitors coming in for the resort towns nearby. Located just off I-70 nestled in between the mountains and Lake Dillon, it's the...

What Hiking Boots Should I Wear?

What Hiking Boots Should I Wear?

Finding the right pair of hiking boots can be a challenge. Everyone's feet are different so what works well for one person may not for another. I've worn $400 boots that hurt my feet terribly and $30 outlet boots that I wore until there were literal holes. I...

3 Hikes You Must Do In Maui

Like everyone who steps foot on the island of Maui, I have absolutely fallen in love. Of course there are the pristine beaches where sea turtles sunbathe, the delicious and impossibly fresh local food but then there's the hiking and like the rest, it's in a league...

Weekend in Colorado Springs

Wine & Wildflower Hike

Weekend Hiking Trip in Vail

This summer I've been trying to get out of the city and into the mountains just about every weekend. When I was dealing with higher anxiety this spring I took note of what was important & what helps - and no surprise that has me prioritizing time in nature. I...
