The best dog-friendly hikes near Moab, Utah
Dog-friendly trails can be tricky to navigate in Moab with the National Parks, but there are plenty of trails to explore with your pup.

2.4 miles / 482 ft Elevation Gain
I do this hike every time I got to Moab! It’s outside of Arches National Park but you still get an incredible arch with a fraction of the crowds. Lots of slickrock with one section you have to climb a ladder, but otherwise it’s fairly approachable and well worth it for the views.
4.0 Miles / 1,170 ft Elevation Gain
A hidden valley just a few miles past downtown Moab. The first chunk is a fair amount of uphill and then it opens up to a gorgeous valley. Keep an eye out for petroglyphs!
1.8 Miles / 65 ft. Elevation Gain
Perfect hike for a hot day! Winding along and through the river (yes, your feet will get wet) with a swimming hole and waterfall at the end.
3.7 miles / 954 ft Elevation Gain
Gorgeous hike to a very cool arch! Loved this hike but make sure you download the trailmap ahead of time, we got a little off the trail a few times.
3.0 Miles / 679 ft. Elevation Gain
Red Rocks is beautiful for it’s ampitheater, but you can also hike around the park to take in the views! This is a great 3 mile loop that’s steep enough at parts to feel like a work out, but never too overwhelming.
