Dog-Friendly Hotels in Colorado

One of my most requested posts since we all love to bring our pups on our mountain adventures! Brewster is only 10 months old so we’ve only stayed at a few but here are our favorite dog-friendly hotels in Colorado.

Sitzmark Vail

Pet Fee – $50 per night (one dog per room)

I knew when we showed up and they had a dog bed, Yeti dog bowls in our room waiting for us (filled with treats and fresh water) the Sitzmark was incredibly dog-friendly. It’s also right in the heart of Vail Village so we walked to hiking trails and countless dog-friendly patios.

Pet Fee – No fee!

With no pet fee and the friendliest staff who stopped for lots of pets and cuddles, Maxwell Anderson Hotel is amongst one of the most dog-friendly hotels I’ve stayed at. There’s a small park across the street for quick bathroom breaks and steps away from a dozen dog-friendly patios in downtown Glenwood Springs. It also just underwent a huge renovation and is absolutely gorgeous.

Pet Fee – $50 per night

Ouray is one of my absolute favorite towns and I’m so glad I was able to bring Brewster along. The Western Ouray has a handful of dog-friendly rooms and is so gorgeous, right in the heart of Ouray. They do have a patio that’s dog-friendly at their restaurant (where you must eat, by the way, so delicious.) They recently underwent a renovation and it’s the perfect mix of old-western with beautiful, modern rooms that include a little kitchenette.

Gravity Haus – Breck, Vail, Steamboat, Winter Park

Pet Fee – $50 per night, per dog – Member’s pets stay free

Gravity Haus is easily amongst some of the most dog-friendly places I’ve ever stayed – all of their locations. In fact, that pup in the picture was at the welcome desk as we were checking in at Gravity Haus Vail to greet us! There’s always a dog bowl welcoming the pups and the staff are so friendly. At Gravity Haus Breckenridge they even had a little area we could eat inside with Brewster. Every time I stay at a Gravity Haus the staff goes above and beyond, plus the properties are gorgeous.

Pet Fee – $150 per stay

The staff at Westin Avon couldn’t have been sweeter to Brewster, he got so many cuddles! This hotel is awesome because there are immediate trails as you walk out the door to take the pups on and the property itself is so gorgeous. The pet fee is on the higher end, but it’s a total for the entire stay vs per night and they do offer a dog bed, food bowl and mat, and a “dog amenity kit.”

Pet fee – $100 per stay

Grand Hyatt Vail was the first place we took Brewster when he was just a puppy and he’s been back a couple of times since. It’s a favorite! Not only is the staff wonderful, but plenty of patio areas for the pups to join for meals and you’re just steps away from the Gore Creek Trail.

Pet Fee – $40 plus tax per night for first dog, additional $20 for a second

Beaver Run Resort and Conference Center in Breckenridge is huge and just steps away from the slopes. We stayed here for the Breckenridge Wine Classic and it was very dog-friendly. They have certain rooms for pets so make sure you tell them about your pup ahead of time. They do have a handful of rules for the pets but they’re all reasonable and the pet fee is too!

Bonus… Gravity Haus Moab, Utah

Since it’s only a five hour drive from Denver, Moab gets a bonus shout-out for being one of my favorite spots. Gravity Haus Moab opened in fall of 2023 and right off the main strip. It’s of course, dog-friendly and has an incredible pool area. I also put together my favorite dog-friendly spots and hikes in this gorgeous red-rock town.
