Discussion Combustion Podcast

I am so incredibly honored that the lovely men behind Denver’s Discussion Combustion Podcast invited me to come and chat! After interviewing people on the news for a decade now, it’s always funny to be in the other seat and honestly I was a little nervous about what to expect but it was just like grabbing a couple of drinks with new friends. Kevin & Arthur are genuine, thoughtful and really funny – I walked in a stranger and walked out feeling like I had two new friends.

Here are all the ways to follow/listen to Discussion Combustion!

What did we talk about?

Weather, Mental Health, Approachable Outdoors, Hiking, Therapy & the power we have when it comes to our own happiness

A few of my favorite takeaways:

Fake It Till You Make It

Do any of us really know what we’re doing? How many days have you faked it when you just weren’t feeling it? I can’t tell you the amount of time I’ve had anxiety while having to smile through a weather forecast or gone on air right after a panic attack.

The Five Second Rule:

If you think about doing something, get up and do it before five seconds is up. It’s technically from another one of their podcasts but last night when I got home I looked at the dishes and thought, I’ll do that in a minute and instead remembered the 5 Second Rule and just got it done. Now incorporating this into my life!

Dumping your therapist is totally okay

If you try a therapist and they don’t work for you that’s ok – it’s kind of like dating, not everyone will be a good fit and it’s fine to find one who works best for you. If you’re looking for a therapist, here’s how I’ve found all my favorite therapists.

Favorite weather memories & geeking out on weather

Who knew Kevin was a huge waether geek who wanted to be a Meterologist when he was little? I love, love talking to people about something they’re passionate about and watching his eyes light up made my day!

Wine & Wildflower Hike

2022 Moab Road Trip

Moab is one of my favorite road trips from Denver - the drive is only 5 hours and the hiking, biking & off-roading trails are seemingly endless. This was my fifth trip to Moab and I was still amazed at the beauty and found new trails to explore. I knew it would...
