My absolute favorite hike in Vail! Strawberry Lane is perfect for a quick workout or you can add on in the trail system to make it a bigger hike all the way to the top of Vail. Winding through Aspen trees, this is also one of the best for fall colors!
Look for the trailhead right under the start of Gondola One in Vail Village and you’re headed up! There’s a fair amount of elevation gain, but it’s still doable for out of towners. Hike 1.3 miles then turn around or continue onto Berrypicker to end up in Lion’s Head Village. If you want to go all the way to the top of Vail Mountain take a left on Cabin Trail – you can ride the gondola down for free!
