This hike is great for beginners and out of town visitors or if you’re just looking for a quick, beautiful trail that’s close to Denver! You get to walk along and on top of the famous Red Rock formations and take in views of foothills along this 1.5 mile loop.

Parking is easy and free at the Trading Post lot then you can choose to start by heading up to Ship Rock Road or down around the Trading Post. I wouldn’t say one way is easier than the other, either way you’re going to have a little incline at the end. While there is some walking on the Red Rocks, I’ve always been fine doing this hike with just regular sneakers.

I’ve seen deer on this hike a couple of times and if you hike during late spring you’ll even get treated to a few wildflowers – Enjoy!

    Southwest Colorado Road Trip

Southwestern Colorado is one of my favorite parts of the state! This summer I’d been planning a trip with a friend to go hiking & explore a few towns that we hadn’t been to. We had three nights and four days to explore as much as we could and we packed in a...

    9News Weather Live From Home!

Never in a million years did I ever think I'd be working from home in news. Enter Coronavirus in March 2020. At 9News I was able to take the technology I used to do weather live in the field and got us all set up to do it from home. I took a whole minute to feel...

    Where Is Kylie Bearse From?

I get this question all the time and always dread it because there’s no quick answer to answer where I’m actually from. I’ve learned to pick an answer based on the person asking. If they’re from Colorado, I’ll usually say I went to school in Boulder. If they’re...
