What a beautiful, quick hike right off I-70 in Frisco! This hike would be so perfect during peak fall colors and I’m definitely going back next fall. But even without the leaves on the Aspens, it was still a beautiful hike with views of Frisco and Lake Dillon before you reach Lily Pad Lake.
There’s a good amount of steady incline on this hike, but I had a friend from sea level with me and with a few breaks it was definitely doable. I especially love that this trail winds between the trees so not only is it beautiful, but offers some shade as well!
Lily Pad Lake itself isn’t the prettiest Alpine Lake I’ve encountered, but it’s a cute little pond and perfect spot to hang out and have lunch or a snack.
We went on a very wind late fall day and there were several trees down, including one that went down a few hundred feet in front of us! Definitely made for a fun, spooky fall hike!
