This gorgeous alpine lake is tucked away about 30 minutes north of Silverthorne. It’s a lovely loop that’s beginner and family-friendly going around the lake with views of the waterfall for most of the trail. There is some shade, but it’s a lot of open trail so it does get hot in the sun.
Gorgeous wildflowers of all sorts of varieties peppered the Aspen-lined trails – so I imagine this would be beautiful for fall colors as well.
