This is my favorite way to start my morning when I’m staying in Vail. Gore Creek is a tributary of the Eagle River and the Gore Creek Path runs right through the heart of Vail connecting Lions head & Vail Village.

This is more of a walk along a paved path than your traditional hike, but I still highly recommend walking or biking Gore Valley Trail at some point when you’re passing through Vail. The Gore Creek Path is a quick 2 mile walk or you can go the whole length of the Gore Valley Trail which ends up being nearly 19 miles It’s dog friendly, you’ll see plenty of people fly fishing and take in all the gorgeous sites of this quaint mountain town.  It’s also incredibly easy to access from most of the hotels in Vail, when I was staying at the Grand Hyatt Vail you could walk right out onto the path from the hotel.
