I found the last bit of fall colors! Conifer still has some incredible color for early October, plus it’s only about 45 minutes from Denver & has some beautiful trails with lots of shade.

Eagle’s View Trail is about 4 miles round trip, but does have a decent amount of elevation gain if you want to make it to the top for the view. But Reynolds Park has a ton of options to make your hike shorter and a little easier.

We accidentally missed the first turn off onto Raven’s Roost which is one of the options to take you to Eagle’s View Trail but it ended up being a good thing because Oxen Draw Trail offered a less steep option to the top!

We had the trail almost completely to ourselves on a weekday, which was a really beautiful treat. At the top of Eagle’s View Trail you emerge from the trees for a gorgeous view then a pretty easy walk around the top.

We went back down Raven’s Roost and were really glad we took Oxen Draw, not only was it even more beautiful, but man was Raven’s Roost steep! I totally talk a tumble on the gravel (don’t worry, it happens a lot – I’m very clumsy!)

Weekend in Snowmass, Colorado

Weekend in Frisco, Colorado

I almost hate to tell anyone about Frisco because it's one of my favorite towns in Colorado and I feel like it's a little overlooked by visitors coming in for the resort towns nearby. Located just off I-70 nestled in between the mountains and Lake Dillon, it's the...

What Hiking Boots Should I Wear?

What Hiking Boots Should I Wear?

Finding the right pair of hiking boots can be a challenge. Everyone's feet are different so what works well for one person may not for another. I've worn $400 boots that hurt my feet terribly and $30 outlet boots that I wore until there were literal holes. I...

3 Hikes You Must Do In Maui
