This hike was very cool! Near 360 degree views the entire way, literally walking along the top of a ridge. My only negative was the highway noise, which was pretty loud for most of the way. It just takes away from the get-away feeling I usually get from a hike. That said, I’ll probably still do this one again, just not going to be at the top of my list.

Park in the Stegasourous Parking Lot then you’ve got a quick incline to where the trail begins. Don’t be discouraged if you’re out of breath on this first part – it’s the hardest and it’s over fast! Once you’re up, you’re good to go.

This trail offers no chance to get lost, you just follow it along the entire way. The trail itself is mostly dirt & rocks, but it’s really well maintained with a few spots where wood steps are installed to help you along. I even ran into a crew working on trail maintenance and they were all awesome.

I love the idea of hiking on a ridge, but I can be a little squeamish when it comes to heights. I didn’t have any problems with this hike! The trail is wide enough and it’s not a sharp cutoff on each side right next to you. There are a couple ups and downs so you feel like you get a decent workout, but not too strenuous by any means.

The trail goes for about two miles then you reach the other end, then turn around and go back. A quick, easy two miles not far from the city!
