Coyote Song Trail is beautiful and with a low elevation gain it’s great for beginners and families! It’s the type of hike I would bring my parents on when they come to visit.
Parking is easy in the South Valley Park lot then it’s well marked to make the loop. The first few hundred feet out of the parking lot are the steepest, then after that it’s relatively flat for most of the way.
There are lots of beautiful rock formations and I’ve spotted deer a couple of times on this trail. Dogs are allowed on leash!
